This presentation examines the research regarding when and where STEM learning occurs, when it is most important for developing future interest in STEM, and the role of out-of-school STEM learning.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will know the research that demonstrates the importance of out-of-school STEM learning on developing youth interest in STEM topics.
  • Participants will be able identify possible connected STEM learning experiences that could work in their STEM learning efforts.
